If your "primary Monks" are dying in PvE, there's no way you're going to survive with a Monk Hardres.

Wammo is part mentality and build similarity.
The typical Wammo generally carry certain heal spells that are looked down upon in the gw community, particularly [skill]mending[/skill] and [skill]healing breeze[/skill]. The build is set up more of a survival/tank build than a damage build, which a warrior should be.
The behavioral aspect of Wammos is the urge to pull every red dot on the compass without realizing the consequences of such an act. This puts incredible strain on the team and just pisses people off. They also blame the healers for not keeping them alive and tell teammates they are going too slow. Arrogant ones will state how they never die and how they are so awesome in PvE and PvP.

Yep, I'm sure the majority of us have either been one of these people, or met them at one time. I remember when I was trying to get my second Warrior a run to Droks so I could get max armor for my survivor character... Well we were standing in Snakes Dance I think, waiting for the Dervish to get us to the next zone. He had some trouble so the Warrior next to us goes "I've got the best build ever, I can tank these things in HM!". He runs up and puts Mending on, then Healing Breeze and then charges in and behold then he puts HEALING HANDS on himself... and a second or two after it expires he dies then starts whining and ranting like it wasn't supposed to happen. I still don't think he was as bad as me when I tried to run a W/N with Blood Renewal and Siphon Life, and Flurry when I first started playing.

It's always going to be a portion of idiots who ruin the game for the rest of us.
I started as a W/E with a cowardly elementalist mentality. I wouldn't aggro anything, people always had to tell me "come on kai start tanking" before I went in, I brought Meteor Shower, Flame Burst, and Phoenix into every zone believing that I was a warrior-mage... I even had a Fire Wand that I sometimes used instead of a sword.
These days however, I only use /E for Conjure Frost, sometimes a snare as well when I'm ABing (Winter's Embrace or Water Trident). I've stopped packing defensive skills and stances, I go for all-out damage these days.
When I'm playing my warrior in PvE, there are 5 things I'm watching at all times: My health/energy, my party health, the enemies, my hex/enchantment/condition window, and most above all, my aggro circle. Heroes and henchmen aren't the best at running away due to overaggro so if I even think a patrol's getting too close, I back away, whip out my longbow, and start plinking arrows at the current mob.
I'd say that the most important place to be watching on your Guild Wars screen as a warrior, is your minimap. Watch the patrols, watch your aggro, watch where your team is. If you're surrounded by red dots, and green dots are out of your aggro circle, you're already screwed.

I would much rather have someone with a subpar build but common sense than someone with a good build but intoxicated with idiocy. I'm definitely not referring to breeze/mending/hands as a good build (by FAR) but trying to make the point that someone with a subpar build is less efficient for the team (who cares its PvE) but at least they don't put the team in jeopardy by overaggroing or not paying attention.

In my view, these days, a wammo is not simply a warrior/monk, it's an idiotic player. The word is becomming as utilised to describe the inept and stupid as "noob" is. This occured to me a while back when I found people shouting at others in PuGs for being a "dumb wammo", or "wammo charging in" etc... The word "wammo" is applied to many stupid things in game these days, though, is primarily still aimed toward warriors to be fair.
To be honest if you'd just joined a PuG and hadn't pinged a build or said anything ... "wammoish" (read: stupid) ... then your kicking from the group and the PM were unjustified. Don't take it too much to heart.
Seeing as this is a wammo-related thread...time for the obligatory photo. A reminder to all wammos out there to keep looking over their shoulder.

Why must your guild NOT be Wammo Hunter Organisation? WHY?!
...and I concur with the statements of Celestial Beaver, the 5th Celestial boss.

The wammo build with mending and healing hands was actually good for one thing when factions came out. You could solo farm wardens as long as you avoided the mesmers with that build. Before loot scaling got so terrible and before hard mode, that used to be a great way to get some gold.

There is one map where I have found the wammo build to be more effective than most expect. On the Mirror of lyss.
[skill]mending[/skill][skill]Watchful Spirit[/skill] will grant you a tiny heal but more importantly by maintaining both you have 0energy regen and can have 0 energy the entire time your on this map.
Why you ask?
Roaring Ether's! They primarily use [skill]Energy Surge[/skill] and [skill]energy burn[/skill]. Not to mention the decrease in degen burning will have on you. If your good at timing/agro you can get all of the Ether's to waste thier E-Surge on the war for 0 dmg, saving the party from taking 100-300 AoE armor ignoreing damage.

Wammo's aren't bad so much because they use mending...
...or because they think it makes them invincible...
..but because they just have to aggro everything in sight.
A mending wammo could be an adequate addition to most NM PvE groups if only they comprehend how that little radar doodad works. Too bad they rarely do. For the record, one of the best warriors I ever saw was a mending wammo back when Factions was relatively new. I'm sure she's W/P godmode now like everyone else, but it sure was something to see back then.

If your primary monks are dying in PvE, you are doing something way wrong.
And a whammo is the GW version of the term Leeroy Jenkins.

The ONLY Monk skill that ever touches my bar on my warrior nowadays is Mending Touch. Back when i first started, yes i thought Mending was awesome. After you hit lvl 6 and stuff starts hitting harder youll get it passed through your head thats its Terrible!

I'm not saying Wammos are good... Personally i think the bar is terriBAED.. what I am saying is the mentality aint all bad. I prefer to play with people like that.
Also... [skill]mending touch[/skill] = pro

Yeah. You could also use [skill]Mend Ailment[/skill] or [skill]Purge Signet[/skill]I used mend ailment before getting mending touch.
